Thrown, trimmed, fired

Step 01Thrown

Each form is thrown on the wheel from a single stoneware body.

Step 02Trimmed

The next day, leather-hard, the foot is trimmed and left unglazed so you can feel the clay.

Step 03Fired

Dipped by hand and fired slow, then a day to cool before anyone opens the kiln.

The collection

Six forms, four glazes. Pick a glaze on each product page; sold-out and made-to-order glazes are marked.

From the studio

A few dozen pieces at a time

We fire in small runs, which is why a glaze sells out and comes back a few weeks later. Each piece is thrown, trimmed and dipped by hand, then checked and weighed before it is packed.

Small variations between pieces are the point. If one arrives and is not right, send it back within 30 days.
